Choose the biker you want to be. With its aggressive looks and strong low-end power, the CBR500R frees you from all constraints. And it’s A2 licence ready.
Rev the free-spinning two-cylinder engine. Listen to the unique and appealingly aggressive roar of the bike. Take a deep breath. The road is yours (best heard with headphones).
Drawn from CBR DNA.
The CBR500R is every inch a CBR, which means it’s one of the sharpest tools in our toolbox. Its sharp, aggressive lines incorporate unique aerodynamic winglets, for high-speed stability. And the view forward is pure sports, with clip-on handlebars mounted below the top yoke and negative-display LCD dash. The innovative fuel tank design is carefully shaped to cut down on excess bulk, yet at the same time give useful cruising range.
Twin-cylinder power.
The CBR500R features a powerful twin-cylinder engine to give you elastic, enjoyable power. You won’t ever have to choose between a bike with lightning-fast acceleration from a standing start and one that can take you on a thrilling chase through the slick six-speed gearbox at high rpm. The CBR500R gives you both. This is what freedom is all about.
Just like its larger CBR siblings, an Assist/Slipper clutch eases upshifts and prevents rear wheel lock-up on hard downshifts. And, to give you an even sportier ride, strong mid-range torque between 3,000 and 7,000 rpm makes every corner exit a moment to savour.
And ready to ride.
The CBR500R features a negative-display LCD dash, with Gear Position and Shift Up indicators. For tackling a challenging set of corners, the handlebars clip-on below the top yoke, allowing you to maintain fully-focused control. The 41mm telescopic forks are adjustable for spring preload, as is the Pro-Link rear monoshock. Full LED lighting, including indicators, is a premium finishing touch. Ready. Set. GO.
