New Suzuki models are a hot topic right now – especially with the announcement of the GSX-R1000 concept back in November; as well as it being the Gixxxer’s 30th Anniversary year. We thought it would be helpful for us to list out exactly what was coming for our customers in 2016.
Suzuki warranty extention
The announcement from Suzuki that they are offering 3 years warranty on all new bikes until December 31st is something we know will reassure anyone buying a Suzuki this year. It shows the confidence from the manufacturer that their bikes will have the build quality Japanese bikes are famous for.
GSX-R1000 Concept L7
The long awaited facelift of the Gixxxer is the headline launch for 2016. Details are all over the internet and although we expect to see something June time we haven’t heard anything official. Watch this space. Expect improved electronics, futuristic styling and more controllable power from a new engine.
30th Anniversary Edition GSX-Rs
The GSX-R range is also getting a celebratory colour scheme to mark it’s 30th anniversary. The paint job revives the traditional colours associated with Suzuki and the race track. It will also come loaded with extras from Yoshimura (much like the MotoGP 2015 edition). The 30th anniversary edition is available in GSX-R600, GSX-R750 and GSX-R1000
From their knowledge of exciting mid-range bikes Suzuki have announced a model that many will say is to replace the Gladius. Featuring a more sporty feel and borrowing from the Bandit stylings as well as aggressive modern finishing.
The GSR750 gets the MotoGP colour scheme and the Yoshimura accessories. Judging by the photos it looks the nuts and we expect to see a lot of these!! Yoshi bits include engine caps, R11 exhaust and rear bobbins amongst other bits.
V-Strom 1000 Titanium
After the success of the V-Strom DL1000 Desert edition last year Suzuki have announced a Titanium 2016 version. Sporting Sat-nav, fog lamps, engine bars, hand guards and loads of other bits and pieces. For the seasonal tourer this could be worth a look!
Other bikes have had notable colour revisions for Suzuki 2016 models. See the whole range here.
Finally, accessory packs are now available for most of the main Suzuki offerings. Please call our spares and accessories dept on 01708 754775 (option 2) or look out for the button on individual model pages.
