With the dust settling (and any hangovers a distant memory), we can reflect on the big and enjoyable weekend. The actual celebrations went as smoothly as we could have hoped for, plus most of the grub went, which is always a good indicator that people stayed around for a good chinwag. Some old faces from the John’s of Romford past came back for the event as well. Special mentions go out to Dave Adlington who ran the Rush Green showroom for 40 years and to “J.C.” who began working with John well before the “of Romford” part was added above the door.
Now that the festivities are over, we’d like to take the opportunity to thank our customers from the past 50 years for choosing John’s of Romford. Whether you managed to make it down or not last week, it’s been a pleasure to serve you. If you did make it down, we hope you enjoyed the open day!
We’d also like to thank our suppliers and partners for their support and assistance in being able to continue to provide an on going service to our customers and the wider biking community. Special thanks goes to the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club Essex for giving up their Saturday to come down and show their bikes (which covered most of the 50 years).
A final thank you goes out to all the staff from the past 50 years. Without all their hard work and dedication the friendly atmosphere we are known for wouldn’t be what it is today. Most go above and beyond on a regular basis to help our customers and are happy to give bike advice to anyone who needs it. Regardless of whether it’s a Honda or Suzuki they will either know how to help or know someone who they can direct you to.
Here are some snaps of the celebration week.
